FIRST DAY: Arrival in Reggio Emilia and settling into the hotel. Welcome lunch in a typical bistro. Afternoon at leisure through the streets of Reggio Emilia’s historic center: a tour can begin at Piazza Prampolini to see the Duomo, which stands near the Baptistery and Town Hall where the first national flag, the Italian Tricolor, was born in 1797. Among the city’s most important monuments, it is important to mention the Basilica of San Prospero, the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Ghiara with Guercino’s Crucifixion inside, the Romolo Valli Municipal Theater, and finally concluding with the charming Piazza Fontanesi.

SECOND DAY: Breakfast at the hotel and departure from Reggio Emilia for the province of Parma. At your option, morning visit to the imposing Torrechiara Castle. You will then discover the secrets of the famous Prosciutto di Parma, following the production process from the raw material to the finished product, concluding with a tasting of different seasonings.
After lunch, arrive in Parma and tour its fascinating historic center: the Farnese Theater, the Camera di San Paolo, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the church of San Giovanni, and a stroll through the elegant Ducal Park. During the tour, you will discover the wonderful frescoes by Correggio, a talented 16th-century painter.

DAY THREE: Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to an acetaia to see the production and taste Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Afterwards, visit to the historic center of Modena. Of the Este capital, you will particularly appreciate the Ghirlandina, the Duomo and Piazza Grande, which have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1997.

In the afternoon, visit the new Casa Enzo Ferrari Museum, which includes a gallery of futuristic automotive design. Continuing the journey to discover the “Prancing Horse,” visit the Ferrari Maranello Museum: you will discover legendary cars from the past and impressive prototypes for the future, a joy for all motoring enthusiasts.
Back in Reggio Emilia, typical Emilian dinner in one of the iconic restaurants of the local tradition and awarded a Michelin star. Overnight stay at the hotel.
FOURTH DAY: Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Bologna, which you will reach using the high-speed train, leaving from the new Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana station. In the morning we suggest discovering the “gourmet” side of Bologna, focusing on the market area and stopping at the best stores and delicatessens selling all kinds of regional specialties: handmade tortellini and tagliatelle, Parmigiano-Reggiano, mortadella and much more.

In the afternoon you will be enveloped in the authentic atmosphere of Bologna, home to the oldest university in Europe and one of the best-preserved historic centers in Italy, with its 38 kilometers of porticoes and medieval towers. Once back in Reggio Emilia, have a gourmet dinner at a downtown restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
FIFTH DAY: Breakfast at the hotel and visit a producer of Parmigiano-Reggiano, discovering that it is still made with the same ingredients and craftsmanship as when it was first created eight centuries ago. You will follow the entire production process, ending with a final tasting of the King of Cheeses. Lunch at the restaurant of one of Reggio Emilia’s most famous and well-known chefs.
